something a little different...

i decided i needed to do something for myself - something that i could take forever on, something that no matter what it resulted in i would be happy with, and also something for me to start working out a new style on.

the meaning to the work has altered, but i think i prefer it this way. i think, maybe this is about what has happened to me in the last year, growing up, and how this has changed my outlook on life. for example, the skull for death, the spine for my increasing worry about back pain, the needles a reference to my mum's hospital stay and the film Reanimator, the needles in the purple girls head represent torture (and connect to the accupuncture needle torture scene in imprint) see what you want in it.

also im very proud of the hair. i suck at hair. but i worked out a technique. also love the acid-trip colours of the tentacles. this wasn't meant to be so colourful but that's the way it ended up i guess. it countacts the morbid elements of the work, much like you do in ones life. if you acknowledge the worst parts of life the great parts seem brighter.
